Please note: I made this box for myself, only taking photos as I went along to show the progress to my family. It was them who encouraged me to display those here. I am showing you the process, in case you would like to create one yourself, too. Should you prefer not to do that, I am happy to make one for you, of course.
The Original
<- The Box in its original state. It does not state what type of of wood it is, but it must be treated with something as it completely repelled the French Polish Oil. I had to soap scrub the box a few times and re-glue it completely.
-> I ended up mixing Acrylic paints to achieve the desired colour scheme and finished it with furniture wax.
